The Department of Health has launched a
period of engagement with people who use care and support services - carers,
local councils, care providers and the voluntary sector - to discuss priorities
for improving the care and support system. Caring for Our Future: Shared ambitions for
care and support was launched on 15/09/11 and will last until 02/12/11. A website has
been set up to publish up-to-date information as the engagement process
proceeds and provide a facility for members of the public to respond with their
